Australian Pairs

Here are the results of our Mackenzie Park LBC Australian Pairs tournament. It was held on Saturday during the Labor Day weekend and attracted teams from several different clubs from the SWD. Along with other familiar faces, you will notice a team from PIMD, Larry Murphy with partner, Neil Lyttle who took 2nd Place on the Joslyn Green. The 3rd Place team in that group are from the Oxnard LBC, the Winners were Sam De Lisle  (MPLBC) with Dick Rivera, from Santa Maria LBC.  The 3rd Place team on the Adams Green, Brian Davies & Phil Dunn are from Santa Monica LBC.  You'll recognise the 2nd Place team from Mackenzie Park LBC, Father & Son, Tom & Loren Dion.  And the 1st Place Winners in that group were Liam Courtney (Pasadena LBC) & Mary De Lisle (MPLBC)

Our thanks to Sam De Lisle for this information

Dana Lum, former mascot of the Northeast Division and now chair of the Women's Team Selectors, tells us,

“I am extremely pleased to annouce that Rosa Gandara is ranked 7th on the Women's Singles List of the World.

“Rosa has been bowling for four (4) short years and has made her mark as one of the best bowlers.

“Congrats to you, Rosa. Job well done!!!!”

Look what we found....

. . . a most interesting website of interest to lawn bowlers. While it is not our policy to support any commercial effort we found this site to be most interesting because of their very wide range of lawn bowling products and other information. Take a peek at:
